Litvania Chronicles: Bonds, Magical Memories, and Colorful Learning in the Third Month

I want to share with you the rich and meaningful experiences of my third month in Lithuania. This month, starting with my return from Trakai to Sirvintos, overflowed with special memories, strong connections, and a learning-filled journey.

Organizing weekly Harry Potter movie nights at the Sirvintos Youth Center took my fascination with Hogwarts magic to the next level. Coming together with the youth to watch the Chamber of Secrets was not just a movie enjoyment but also a shared experience of fun.

A special Christmas day spent with friends I got to know in Trakai was more than just a meal event. It was an opportunity to form strong bonds and spend a meaningful day together. The meal we organized will remain a memorable moment in our hearts.

Despite the cold weather, the days following Christmas were remarkable as we, along with volunteer friends, went to Vilnius to welcome the new year with a spectacular light show. The crowded streets, illuminations, and enthusiasm in the city allowed us to explore Lithuania's capital in a completely different atmosphere.

In the middle of January, we participated in the Erasmus Plus project on Coaching and Leadership in Vilnius. It was not just an educational activity but also a platform to understand and share different cultures. Alongside our logistical contributions, we had the chance to meet participants from different countries during the cultural night, learning about their cultures.

In the following weeks, the mobile Youth Center visits to Musninkai and Gelvonai were not only about entertainment and games but also crucial opportunities to strengthen connections between communities. Sports activities and treasure hunt games created a positive energy among the youngsters.

The week spent with the new volunteer, Aydan, from Azerbaijan began with visits to museums in Vilnius, delving into the city's history. We got to know Aydan's culture more closely and shared insights about our own countries.

My third month in Lithuania became an unforgettable period for me, filled with colorful details, beautiful shared memories, and learning opportunities.
