My Fourth Month in Lithuania

The fourth month in Lithuania was the end of winter, as temperatures started to get warmer. In February, we had many new activities at the Sirvintos Youth Center.

We started the month with a ping pong tournament. Young people from Sirvintos played against my sister and her friend from Kaunas. It was surprising when Yasir won.

Then, on February 5th, we had a TikTok Challenge. We tried to make fun and creative TikTok videos.

On February 6th, we celebrated Mask Day, a traditional Lithuanian holiday called "Užgavėnės." We made masks and cooked potato pancakes together.

Then, on February 9th, we organized a bracelet-making workshop. Using colorful beads and string, we created bracelets reflecting the colors of the Lithuanian flag. Hanging them on trees around the Youth Center, we conveyed a message of unity and solidarity.

We also prepared for Valentine's Day on February 14th. We decorated the Youth Center with hearts and had a special celebration.

After Valentine's Day, I embarked on a cultural journey to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. Exploring the city's historic streets, discovering its architectural marvels, and immersing myself in its unique atmosphere was truly unforgettable. During my time in Prague, I enjoyed meeting new people and delving into different cultures, enriching my experiences even further.

The adventures and experiences of this month have truly enhanced my volunteering journey in Lithuania.
