My Second Month as an ESC Volunteer in Lithuania: A Month of Adventure

The month start with our high school visit in Musninkai. We explained to the students what SAJC is and shared our activities with them. We spent an enjoyable day with prepared activities. It was delightful to meet the youngsters and talk to them about different cultures.

Midweek, we organized a sleepover event with the youngsters in the villa. We played games, watched movies, danced, and even had our own Lip Sync Battle. It was truly a fun and unforgettable night. A strong bond formed between us and the youngsters, and we had a great time together.

At Širvintos High School, we conducted a presentation about our volunteer activities and the enjoyable times spent with the youngsters. The presentation was well-received, and we received many questions from the students. Spending time with the youngsters truly makes me happy, and it's wonderful to see that they enjoy it too.

This month, I delivered my first English presentation. Although I started a bit nervous, it turned out to be a positive experience. The topic of my presentation was the cultural differences I experienced in Lithuania.

At the end of the month, it was time for the opening of the Christmas tree in Lithuania. The details of the tree fascinated me. It was truly one of the most beautiful trees in Lithuania. People gathered around the tree, sang Christmas carols, and danced together. It was a fantastic opportunity to witness Lithuania's traditional Christmas celebration.

We also had a training session in Trakai, providing me with the chance to explore the city. Trakai Castle, with its historical structure, offered an impressive experience. The days spent there allowed me to delve into Lithuania's rich history. Trakai Castle is undoubtedly one of Lithuania's most significant symbols and is definitely worth a visit.

I had the opportunity to meet other volunteers during training. It was a really nice and fun experience to spend time with volunteers from different countries and share culture with them.

All these experiences make my second month in Lithuania unforgettable. During this month, I got to know both myself and Lithuania better. I'm looking forward to more adventure-filled and learning days ahead!
