My second month in Lithuania started well. May 3 was my birthday and many people celebrated my birthday. Another thing I learned here is that you have to buy your own cake on your birthday. This was one of the other cultural differences I experienced. But it was a lot of fun, thanks again to everyone who congratulated my birthday from here.
I attended the arrival training organized by the national agency together with other volunteers in Lithuania. It was an excellent venue. He was in a hotel with a wonderful goal in the forest, one with nature.
Our training for about a week was very enjoyable. We met with other volunteers. We traveled to Trakai castle and its surroundings. I could smell the history when I went there. I can definitely say I had a great time. I had new friends. Now we started to meet almost every week.
Besides, everything works fine where I work. I got warmer with my colleagues and we get along very well. As every week, we go to different towns on Thursdays and Fridays to spend time with young people. We go on nature walks together. And of course, there is no day that we don't play volleyball. Everything is OK.
The football team of my town had also invited us to play. I continue to collect good memories. And every day I learn new things and gain new experiences.
And also there were summer celebrations in the town where I stayed at the end of May. We had a great time on this day they celebrate on May 26 every year. The roads were closed, all the people of Sirvintos were on the roads. Concerts started, entertainment continued until midnight. I was very amused.
We also met our new volunteer friend from Turkey and started working together. He can play the guitar very well. He's a good person. Finally, I love living here, even though the weather changes from time to time.
