🥰Sweet November in Lithuania🥰

Here comes my second month in Lithuania. I can’t believe the time flies fast. One of the oldest Turkish volunteer returned home and we prepared a ‘Goodbye Party’ to him before he left. However, a new volunteer had arrived in youth center.

We went to high school in this month in Musninkai. There were 4 sessions for us. First, 8th grade students came to the class. After them, 9th grade came. 10th grade arrived and lastly 12th grade students were with us. We explained what SAJC was and what SAJC’s activities were to the youngsters. Next, we did the activities that we already prepared for them.

Next weekend, there was a sleepover event in a Villa in Širvintos. The event was for youngsters of Gelvonai and Musninkai. As a volunteer, we prepared lots of team building activities for them. In the first day, a police officer arrived in the villa and informed youngster about smoking and drugs prevention. After eating the dinner, we played `name that tune` activities. There were 5 teams and we made each teams to listen to music for 30 seconds. When they found out the music and the singer, they got points. The team that had more points was the winner.

Aaand here comes the most exciting action. It was `Lip Sync Battle. There were 5 team again. Each team had one song to represent it. The task was easy. They had to organize everything. They were the singers and dancers. It was like they had to act like the dancers and vocalists of the song and give us a mini concert. And the team that had more points was the winner again.

Some students from Širvintos Middle school visited the youth center next week. Since it was near Christmas, we had prepared `Collect Signature` activities for them. Each students were given the task papers. The tasks were all about Christmas and new year. They had to do tasks and as soon as possible and they had to collect signatures.

The other week, we went to Širvintos High School to represent ourselves and what we were doing as a volunteer. Since I really enjoyed to be with youngsters and doing activities with them, I was comfortable and I could see that they also enjoyed.

There was an important day for Širvintos. Everyone was excited for the Christmas tree in the city hall and they were looking forward to be in city hall to see the Christmas tree. We also went there. It was so magical and mesmerizing to see it.

There was a live concert and cheap Christmas shops. I also personally met famous Santa in Širvintos.

Next Wednesday, we went to Gelvonai for our Christmas Party that we prepared. It was funny and we had a great time together. We did so many activities related to Christmas with youngster in Gelvonai. We had chosen the best ones of the year and gave them their certificates.

We went to Musninkai Youth Center in Thursday for the Christmas Party that we prepared. We played Just Dance. We did so many marsmallow activities. We gave them certificates that we prepared for them. We had chosen the best ones of the year and gave them their certificates.
